Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that focuses on the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, typically from birth to 18 years (sometimes up to 21). Pediatricians are trained to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses and conditions in growing individuals whose bodies and minds are still developing.
